Born in Fukuoka, Japan, he studied acupuncture and East Asian Medical Therapies in Tokyo, obtaining his national acupuncture licence prior to moving to North America.<\/p>\n<p>With his Ph.D. in medical science, Tanaka was the recipient of the World Federation of Acupuncture and Moxibustion Society\u2019s 1996 Excellent Research Award for his study on Somatic Reaction Induced by Acupuncture Stimulation. He was appointed Visiting Research Fellow of Acupuncture at Tsukuba University of Technology in Japan and lectured extensively across the globe, including in the United States, Canada, the Netherlands, Hungary, China, and Japan.<\/p><!--CusAds0-->\n<div class=\"1105701a103637095f64f2405c549ac8\" data-index=\"1\" style=\"float: none; margin:5px 0 5px 0; text-align:center;\">\n<script window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});\r\n<\/script>\n<\/div>\n<p>Tanaka has co-authored Japanese acupuncture and traditional massage textbooks, in addition to a number of research papers published in peer-reviewed medical journals.\u00a0His original research has been cited by many scholarly papers and clinical textbooks as well, referenced in various government and public agency reports, including US National Institute of Health (NIH), <em>Consensus Statement on Acupuncture<\/em>.\u00a0Read more&#8230;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">With unmatched clinical experience, Tanaka developed his own unique acupuncture and natural therapy program for dealing with health conditions, including chronic back pain, migraine headaches, sports injuries, digestive problems, stress-related issues and
